gold or silver?

We are thrilled to announce our first-ever 14-karat gold jewellery collection, 'tactile treasures'. This collection celebrates touch and memory, featuring handcrafted designs meant to be cherished as heirlooms. With the launch of our new collection, we aim to create an opportunity to explain the differences between silver and gold jewellery.

Silver has been valued since ancient civilisations for its rarity and beauty, making it an excellent and affordable option for daily wear. Sterling silver consists of 92.5% silver and 7.5% other metals like copper, enhancing its durability. The number 925 stamped on our products signifies this composition. Since silver is prone to tarnish over time, proper care is always essential.

Gold jewellery has been a symbol of wealth, power, and luxury since ancient civilizations. Gold jewellery comes in various alloys as pure gold is too soft for intricate designs, and purity is measured in karats. While 24-karat is the purest form, it can also be cast in 14k, 18k, 22k, 10k, or 9k. For our new baby 'tactile treasures' capsule collection, we opted for the 14-karat option for its cold yellow tone, complementing the deep and warm colors of natural gemstones.

Each piece from 'jewels for joy' is something you can wear for a lifetime. We want all our jewellery pieces to hold personal meaning and importance for you. The idea that your 'jewels for joy' jewellery can be passed down for generations is very exciting for us. Therefore, we aim to offer alternative approaches to jewellery making, creating valuable pieces for your collection.

Our dream and goal are that you cherish your 'jewels for joy' jewellery and where they eventually become heirlooms for your family.

Love,
